Getting Started

Workspace Setup

Configure your Lem environment by managing workspaces, inviting team members, and establishing organizational boundaries.

Creating a Workspace

Workspaces are the top-level boundary in Lem. All integrations, repositories, and decision records are scoped to a specific workspace. You can create multiple workspaces for different projects or clients.

Team Management

Invite your engineering team via email or Slack. Lem supports three roles: Owner (full access), Admin (integration management), and Member (read/write access to knowledge).

Project Configuration

Link your GitHub repositories to the workspace. This is the foundation for all information capture. Each repository can be mapped to its own set of Slack channels and Jira boards.

Atomic Onboarding

Lem's onboarding flow is transactional. When you first sign up, we automatically create your personal account, your first workspace, and assign you as the Owner—ensuring you're ready to connect integrations immediately.

Workspace Settings

From the settings dashboard, you can manage your organizational health and team alignment:

Update workspace name and branding
Manage active integrations and sync statuses
Configure global process guidance rules
Monitor organizational health and decision trends

"Pro Tip: Keep your workspaces focused. For large organizations, create separate workspaces for different engineering divisions to maintain clean, relevant project history."
